:: About Jean ::
Jean Paton has been in the hairdressing business since the
early 80's. Apart from teaching in hairdressing colleges and
running courses, Jean has set up, managed and run her own
salon for some years. Having studied and gained a honours
diploma at the Morris Master class school of hairdressing
in 1982, she went on to work in many London salons. After
gaining a wealth of experiences in salons, Jean returns to
college to educate herself to teach her trade. Having worked
privately for some years, building up an outstanding reputation
as well as a large client base. Jean has many regular clients,
some travel from far flung places such Germany, Spain, Sweden
and Italy.
Throughout the past twenty years, Jean have gained varied
techniques and methods in the application of hair extensions
such as single braids, micro braids basic weaves, micro weave,
removable cap weaves, twists, dreads, china bumps, cane rows,
wig trace & many other techniques suitable for all hair
textures.
Jean is always in demand to demonstrate her skills at prestigious
hair shows in the UK and in America. It is common for Jean
to be called upon by hair and product importers and distributors,
to give advice based on her specialist knowledge of hair extensions.
Having trained many stylists as well as students from far
a field as Africa and Japan.
In a successful career, Jean has gained many hairdressing
qualifications and diplomas, and is a Senior State Registered
Hairdresser. However, Jean continues to seek out new skills
and techniques and most recently completed the WAHL Creative
Cutting Course. As well as being arty, Jean is also a Bachelor
of Arts, with a honours degree in Caribbean history and Education.
